Steve ‘Stella Nova’ New and Beatrice Brown (Beastellabeast) have created an incredible mass of work over their 11 years collaborative partnership.  Their music pushes hard, breaking the boundaries manifest in mainstream music culture today.

Steve ‘Stella Nova’ New described as a ‘legend’ in a recent article for 3am magazine and rightly so, he has over the years worked with the likes of Iggy pop, The Sex Pistols, Public Image, The Vicious White Kids, Chrissie Hynde, The Rich Kids, Johnny Thunders and Mick Ronson to name but a few. Whilst Ronson called him great when he was just 16, it is now that he is making his most interesting and valid work of his entire life. Becoming a mentor and teacher for the young Beatrice Brown (they met when she was just 15) Stella handed to Beatrice his love of Stockhausen, Stravinsky, Zappa. Apart from her main commitment to Beastellabeast Beatrice has also recently guested her work with bands Warrior Charge and Selfish Cunt.

Their first album ‘Beastiality’ recorded whilst signed to London’s Horseglue records is now due for release on Love Howl Muse records Valentines Day 2009, ‘deranged avant garde pop with a nod to the future that sets them apart from any of their peers’. Their second double album ‘Specieality’ will quickly follow in March 2009. ‘Specieality’ is tipped to be a veritable aural Finnegan’s Wake.
